I recently looked into the SMS industry to see what companies seem to be setting themselves a part in a positive way and I stumbled upon Tatango. First of all I really like the brand name and second, the website and SMS trial service is clean, professional, and to the point.
I was able to pick a list name of ‘TRADE” under the SMS phone number 68398. They made it easy for signing up for a free trial by not having the barrier of having to enter a credit card number for them to have on file.
The last thing I want to do is give another service a credit card number when I am already paying for two. This trial period gives me a chance to see how easy it is to manage an SMS campaign using their online software.
Their online texting system is crystal clear about what to do. There are not too many extra things on the account part of the site to get you confused. Take a look at the 5 options you have in the screen shot below.
I chose the keyword trade and so what this allows me to do is to put out advertisements in one way or another that encourages users to text the word “trade” to 68398 to sign up for online SMS trading tips for stock market and currency trades.
Sending out trading advice and tips is an ideal way to provide value to an SMS subscriber because these people can act on that advice for their financial benefit quicker than if they received an email and had to filter through their mailbox to find it.
I believe brokers and trading experts could utilize a service like this to offer tremendous value to their clients.
The last couple of days would have been perfect to send out a text message encouraging people to short the market ahead of the Bernanke fed changes known as the 400 billion dollar operation twist that have caused the markets in the US and Europe to tank.
Looking through the Tatango site I have noticed that they take a full hands on approach to SMS marketing by offering a blog showing users how to launch successful SMS campaigns.
This company also has several successful case studies where people like the politician Scott Brown used a Tatango SMS campaign to win an election.
This company has sent over 100 million text messages through their SMS service so they are a big contender in this industry and would be a good company to consider when choosing where to begin your SMS marketing campaign.
